Star knocked her remaining shoe off and brought her bare feet onto the bed. She found herself looking at Tyler's nose rather than his eyes. "Sure," she said, much more sober now. After all, this was death they were speaking of. Death and changing and a blood bond to someone else. What did he want to hear? How it felt to die? No, he knew that already. What the bite was like? What she'd been up to in the days since? Maybe a short version of all the above.
"We did it on film, just like we talked about," Star said. "It was kind of... like we were in character, up until the actual bite. Victoria wasn't rough about it. I guess it took..," she thought about it and curled Ty's hair around her hand, "A minute? It's hard to say. I mean, I watched the video edit, but seconds were cut out. I woke up about twenty hours later. God, was that weird."
Star's fingertip strayed to his neck and followed a vein that bulged. "I had to do another spell, to keep the demon calm. I've been staying with Vicky. I haven't killed anybody, if that's what you're wondering. I haven't even tried to bite anybody yet. I've just been drinking little bags of blood, hella-pathetic..."
Leaning up, she put her tongue on his throat. Of all the tastes that had dulled in her death, skin was not one of them. A little inner shake made her knee jump.
Star dropped her head back. It took effort to keep her face human. That was not something she was prepared to show Tyler, until he knew for sure she was still Star.
