My name is BB and I bring you Emily. Currently she is a cat. Uh, she's been a cat for a couple of years. She doesn't exactly know how to not be a cat. While her dad's side of the family are plain ole alcoholics her mom's side of the family are magically inclined alcoholics. One night her aunt decided to give Em a crash course in magic. It didn't really turn out that well.

So an underweight skin and bones mangy feral cat is going to appear on the circus grounds. Eventually she'll figure out how to turn back or someone will do something magical and accidentally trigger it in her, whatever makes the most sense in character and works at the time. In the meantime, say hello to the cat. The cat likes tuna and is insulted by cat food. Cat has also become a pretty damn good mouser, so there's that.

PS: Obviously as a cat she can't post anything online but feel free to post LOL Cat memes in her place. If you want to, I'm using a Russian Blue cat breed for her pictures. Feel free to find pictures and say your character took a picture of her, if that is something they would do. The internet was made for cats and cooking recipes -- no lie.

Oh HAI. Trin again. We all knew I couldn't just have one. Characters are like Pringles after all. Once you pop you just can't stop. (and now I want pizza flavored pringles like woah...)

This is Hitomi Katsuri. Daughter of a Yakuza in Japan but sent to live with a family in LA for her own good (her parents didn't want her growing up like this). She ran with a bad crowd for awhile then ended up training in a Dojo. She loved fighting but she found she didn't want the hype of a pro career. Her trainer pulled strings and miss Hitomi is literally JUST walking into the Show today! FRESH FISH ALERT.

Now that I have your attention, hiya! This is Cris, with his second character! *fanfare* Meet Jay! He's a Chicago-born munchkin and, depending on your interpretation, he's either:

• a jerk.
• an mopey dope who grew into his teenage angst a few years too late.
• an old miserly soul in a young body that likes soccer.

So, yeah, meet Jay. He probably doesn't like you, but likes the football and likes you not making small-talk  with you. He's on security detail for the carnival, patrolling the grounds when the fair is in full swing so as to remove the unsavories from the premises. When it's quiet, he also moonlights as an animal wrangled. It helps that he's got an empathic connection with animals and walks their mindscapes in his dreams. So there's that.

 

I want all the plotz! Well, mostly I want the Jay-rubs-people-wrong plotz. But hit me up!

I bring you Samperna Catalan! at least, that's how most of you will know her. If I can find her some truly close buddies, they'll get to know her real name :) She's a Gypsy woman from Hungary who was sold off at a young age. She's had a rough life - raped, beaten, treated like dirt - but she's making her own way now. She ran off from her clan after they got to Chicago, stole a horse and met up with the Freak Show in Montana by accident some six months later. She's been with ya'll now for about two years, although she's terrified of trusting anyone so it probably took this long for her to open up to anyone :) You can read all about her, here. I'll have a prettified one up AND a Contact post up as soon as IJ\my computer\my internet stop being a jflajfaks.

I'm Ari and this is Riley and this is the most craptastic intro ever because I'm distracted and SHOULD be going to bed because I'm technically supposed to be on hiatus because I leave for Montana for a work thing in the morning.

But naturally I'm being an internet addict and making characters and playing games and chatting because I'm awesomely ADD like that.

BEST FUCKING INTRO EVER Y/Y?

Here it is, ladies & gents... The moment you've been waiting for. The Freak Show is officially open for play!

We are really excited with the characters that have been brought to the table so far and we can't wait for all of the awesome plots, drama, and general zaniness that will unfold during their many misadventures to come. Below the cut, find information about the first town that our dear freaks will be taking over! Every month, the Freak Show will make the jump to a new location and we will create a plot post. A link to the plot post for the month will remain at the top of the OOC community, so feel free to return to it throughout the month for discussions, information, and ideas.

For this plot post, we'd like our players to post short introductions for each of their characters! This way we can all discuss how our characters will interact with each other and how their relationships have been up until this point. Game ads are going up in various communities, so hopefully we will have even more fantastic characters joining our cast very soon.
