The Freak Show OOC
people are strange when you're a stranger...
The wind that blows into town smells like fried dough and kettle corn. In a distant field, skyscrapers of bright bulbs and churning machinery light the sky while tinny music and raucous shouts fill the air around the midway. The carnival's energy is contagious, but this isn't just any carnival that's come to town. This is the Freak Show.

To most patrons of the carnival, it appears to be fairly standard despite its old school flair-- but beneath the surface, the Freak Show is full of secrets. None of its workers have wound up there by accident. Many of them have gifts that simply cannot be explained-- eerie little affinities that have been passed down their family line, whether they are aware of this fact or not. Their talents have strengthened since joining the carnival, their strange skills almost impossible to ignore. They are bruja, rootworkers, strega, sorcières. Witches.

Dr. Prizrakov

Hello, all! I'm Dylan and I'll be playing the part of your carnival medic (this account serves as his). My AIM profile name is aceofclams, and my gmail is dylanseanrose@gmail.com, for anyone who wants to be in touch.

My character is Dr. Mikhail Aleksandrovich Prizrakov, but don't just call him Mikhail, he'll get angry. That sort of familiarity must be won with him, and, that being said, he's an intensely private person (which will happen when you've spent the better part of your life working for the mob). He tends to only confide in his wife, Masha, who also serves as a nurse to his medical practice.

He is a quiet, severe man. Most nights he can be found listening to an old Victrola he keeps in his trailer (that doubles as a mobile infirmary): Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Bizet, sometimes Billie Holiday or Nina Simone if he finds himself so moved. On weekends, when he thinks no one is looking, he catches butterflies with a small net he's had since his childhood.

As for his ability, Prizrakov realized early on in his medical career that he's largely incapable of killing someone, though the consequences of his surgeries may have...supernatural consequences. He once removed a boy's heart, and left him a sociopath. Or, say, he'll give you an extra finger or two that work perfectly well. While the consequences of these surgeries may be unintended at times, he does have a few tricks up his sleeve that he can control, and that he may actually use, if you can pay him properly...

Anyhow, that's about it. Hope to talk to you guys soon!
