Bellatrix had been preoccupied with her journal. It seemed like in her absence perhaps her nephew had calmed a little. Or at least was less inclined to pull the rug out from under her feet. Whatever the reasoning was, she was willing to take what she could get.
And then Severus arrived. She hadn't heard his approach, and she looked up at him as he came forward and took a seat beside her. "I tried, but it didn't take."
She didn't like to give in easily. But she found herself missing the comforts of life outside the woods. And even people. It was terribly lonesome on her own. "I guess so," she said with a little grumble while she closed her journal. "I just wanted to be away from everyone. And Draco. He threatened to tell my sisters about my future. That would ruin everything. But he seems to have calmed down now. A bit. Maybe."
