"Is she? I hadn't realised Narcissa was affected. Bellatrix is an issue all on her own. I've rather taken her under my wing, or I'm trying to. Just because she was an insane sociopath by the time she was twenty-five doesn't mean she has to become that here."
Severus shrugged - and conveniently skipped the mention of Lily.
"As to the Founders, I've spoken with all of them, and Miss Ravenclaw, in person except for Goderic Gryffindor. I've conversed with him in the journals on a number of occasions but haven't met him face to face.
"I've attempted to take your wife's advice. Shortly after she arrived here she called me out for my whinging over the play and basically told me to belt up and be miserable and alone or belt up and be an active and participating member of the society, but either way, belt up."
He winked at Lucius as he finished off the whiskey, so he would know he didn't mind Narcissa's high-handed way. It was fairly expected of her after all.
