Who: Bellatrix Lestrange and Albus Severus Potter Where: The new school castle When: Lunch hour Status/Rating: Ongoing/Low
Despite her unpleasant morning visit with Snape, Bellatrix so far found her day to be rapidly improving. She didn't know how long her good fortune would hold out, but school with the founders? It was too delicious to even properly convey into words. And certainly more appetizing then her lunch. Which was spotty at best. She made a mental note to buy something to bring with her tomorrow, a sad sandwich and apple was hardly something to look forward to. And crisps from Severus, which sadly was the highlight of her meal, she thought in derision.
But answering questions, so far that was what she liked most. Though it did prove difficult at times. She couldn't say to much, and reveal that she knew some lessons already. But even what she knew, some of the lessons were in much greater detail, the theory so different from how she had learned it. It really was fascinating. As were the founders, all of them.
She'd sat with Evan all day. Happy for his company. It made the transition that much more tolerable and comfortable. But thinking perhaps he'd want to sit with his friend Helena, she decided to head off on her own. She chose an unoccupied table and sat alone. Her books were all open on the table in front of her and she sat there glancing from time to time at the pages, while she tried to eat.
It wasn't hard to figure out who was who. There really weren't that many kids to make matters difficult. Still it was nice to put a face to the names. She knew who Roxy was now. Bellatrix found her terribly amusing if irritating. She mostly smiled brazenly and returned her comments in kind, with utter disregard.
She glanced up when Albus came into the room. He looked much like his father, she mused. But he had a very different bearing. He was unusually cheery, had a bizarrely pleasant countenance. Strange kid, she thought. She did catch his glance once or twice in class and simply smiled in turn. Why he wrote to her at all after she's done him ill, she couldn't fathom. She hadn't spoken to him yet, but no doubt she would in time.
