Lucius nodded thoughtfully, "Potions? That was my strongest too. I expect Severus had something to do with your advancement? Not to discredit your own merits, but it's always an advantage to have an able teacher one can depend upon." The image of Horace Slughorn's round, cheerful face flickered in his mind for a moment. Was he here too? He wondered. Hopefully not. There was already enough to deal with.
Lucius flashed his brow before placing his tea cup back on its coaster. "Myself? Surely you know all that." He replied, taken aback by the sudden shift in focus, he rarely liked to discuss himself on a personal level. "I expect anything you didn't know first-hand, your mother would have told you about...or Snape." He added with a slight sting of disdain. Severus and Draco had become firm friends, leaving Lucius rather concerned about what they had to talk about. Severus knew far too much about Lucius than he was comfortable with, and though he knew Severus to be a master of discretion, he couldn't help fear what he may let slip. He kept his tone as casual as possible. "Why, what did you want to know?"
