Lucius observed Draco carefully as he unwrapped the lunch. He knew he should say something supportive, but all words were lost. Narcissa would be furious when she found out, and Lucius was already stepping on eggshells for something he hadn't done yet. Draco seemed as uncomfortable and as nervous as he, which Lucius found oddly comforting. He looked remarkably like himself at that age, Lucius couldn't see any Black family at all...Thank Merlin. Not to discredit his wife, of course, but in Lucius' opinion the rest of them were left lacking. Though perhaps that side of Draco would be revealed in time.
"I am, all things considered." He quickly averted his attention to the lunch Draco had brought. "This will do nicely, thank you. I'm glad to see I still appreciate good food in ten years time..." He offered a small smile with the last comment, attempting to lift the atmosphere slightly. At least then he could tell Narcissa that he tried. "I expect you've spoken with your mother since my arrival and conversation with her?"
