Who: Narcissa Malfoy & Ron Weasley What: She's not well acquainted with gainful employment Where: Sweet Eats When: Monday morning Rating: G/Complete
Narcissa had found her new job fairly easily. The village was not large, afterall. At least if she had to work for a living, she was employed doing something she had some experience at. There was no one at the shop when she got there to tell her what to do, so she investigated the place. The kitchen was adequately equipped. She was pleased to see a sufficiency of sugar in the supply room. It was obvious that there was also a baker, but her specialty was candy. It had been a while since she'd made anything, so while she was waiting for whoever's responsibility it was to open the place up, she decided to make something.
She looked through the supplies and picked out a few things. She found a starched white apron and she put it on. She charmed her hair back into an artful twist to keep it back off her face. It was the same routine she might have done at home, and it reminded her of all the times when Draco was young, when she would get up very early and make up a batch of fresh sweets to send off with their owl to arrive at Hogwarts by lunchtime. She missed that. She would have to make something for her son soon.
In the meantime, she measured out the ingredients by hand, as if she was making a potion. She adjusted the heat and let the concoction simmer while she prepared a set of large cookie sheets with baking parchment. It was then that she heard a bell ringing, like from a shop door. Curious, she took a few steps to glance into the front of the shop. "Hello?"
