Bill's smile was beautiful, even when it was only a small one. It was an easy smile that had a way of spreading across the features of his face lighting up his face and making his blue eyes sparkle in a way that was irresistible. For a moment his words fell hush upon her ears as she got swept up in his smile and watching him. He may not be her Bill exactly, in a sense, but then again he was in all the essential ways. It didn't matter he didn't know what they talked about last night or last week, he there and he was still her's and it made her feel more at ease.
Fleur snuggled closer to Bill as they walked, taking in the unfamiliar scene around her silently. When he said Skeeter had gotten what was coming to her Fleur just nodded not knowing what else to say not wanting the details any how; she trusted Bill's opinion. Instead she just soaked up the warmth, comfort, and strength in Bill's presence. It was hard to feel afraid, unsure, or lost when Bill was near. Still there were a few little things that gave her way: her tense posture, a lack of her usual loquacious nature, and most telling Fleur's refusal to completely let Bill go.
"I am so glad to see you," Now that it was finally sinking in, really sinking in, Fleur felt like she could cry; she didn't do change very well and all this change was quickly overwhelming her. If she kept talking the tears were going to slip out, and they probably would any how, but instead she tried asking Bill what it was he had wanted to tell her instead, to keep herself from crying. "Why do you not tell me what you wanted to tell me?"
