It had only been an hour, maybe longer, but the sun had already slipped from the sky and been replaced by millions of twinkling diamonds. Normally the sight of the stars were relaxing to her but not tonight, no tonight they were only vexing her further. She had spent the better part of an hour walking around this strange new place only to find nothing. It unsettled her, even scared her a bit. It wasn't home, she wasn't where she should be with her husband, and honestly it was starting to scare her some. Magic like this was hardly a good thing.
Her boots made a soft scuffing sound as she walked down the street in no particular hurry. It wasn't like she was heading any where, she didn't even know where she was. It made her wish Bill was there; even something as simple as his strong reassuring hand in her own would be enough. His presence alone made everything alright when it wasn't. It made her feel strangely empty and alone. Yet if Fleur wasn't about to stop searching for the answers because she couldn't decide her next move if she didn't know at least something about where she was. There had to be someone that could answer her questions.
It was then she noticed a shadow moving in the distance ahead of her and it both made her heart skip a beat and a little nervous, the man before her could be dangerous but there was only one way to find out. When she got closer she noticed that there was something familiar about the man's gait... Then she caught a glimpse of his red hair in the moonlight and her suspicions were confirmed.
"Bill?" Fleur called to him slightly hesitant in case she had been mistaken. "Bill, is that you?" She kept her voice steady even though her heart was racing as she took a few more steps in Bill's direction. "Bill," relieved to see him, Fleur instantly ran to him and wrapped him in a tight embrace his presence soothing some of her anxiety. It had never crossed her mind that he wasn't her Bill, the one she had been with just that morning.
