It was a hard choice for Albus, but he is not leaving the people he loves here. He is staying for those loved ones he cannot have relationships with at home either because of death or age differences. He’ll publish graphic novels in the village and ultimately be quite happy.
ALICE LONGBOTTOM I
Alice is definitely going to stay and wishes that the family that has left be returned and live happily ever after. She's not opposed to having more kids with Frank, if it happens that way. Alice loves the village and hopes to see other old friends from the Order find a happy ending here too.
ALICE LONGBOTTOM II
Allie is in love with the Village, and moreover, she wants to show support for her loved ones like Albus and Uncle Ernie who are staying in the village. She would have decided to stay, and would have made the request that her mother and brothers come in at ages where they’ll be cool to hang around. Ultimately she’s too ambitious for the village/small town life, so somewhere around her late twenties she would have tied up all of her ends and asked to be sent home.
AMELIA PREWETT
Amelia of course stayed in the village. It really wasn't a question at all for her when it came down to it. She has a life here that she could never have back in her own time, a husband who she loves more than anything, and perhaps most importantly a son who only exists in village reality. If those aren't good reasons to stay she isn't quite sure what is!
She did however request to have Edgar, Sally, as well as her niece and nephew brought to the village so they could live out their lives in peace, and she purposely made sure their house was close to Gideon and her house so their child and her brother's children could grow up together in a happy environment.
Besides working at the clothing store, Amelia also decided to try her skills as a for hire artist. She painted wall murals for anyone interested, portraits, or anything else people were interested in commissioning from her. She spend the rest of her life in almost a dream like haze, wondering how the hell she managed to get so lucky. Her bright demeanor never diminished, and she also might have started a yoga class at the gym in her free time for anyone interested. Because she loves to share her knowledge, okay?!
ANDROMEDA TONKS
Andromeda is staying. She knows what she has to go home to, and she knows she loses the two most important people in her life. That's not the life she wants, and since she has a choice, that's not the life she's picking. She would like to have her sister back, though. Narcissa, mostly, but perhaps Bellatrix as well if Bella can behave.
ARIANNA DUMBLEDORE
Ari asked for her brothers to be brought in from the moment just after her death because she feels like that's where they can do the most healing. She stayed because the village was her chance at living a full life, and she didn't want to leave Gilderoy. He had her heart.
ARTHUR WEASLEY
Arthur would ultimately stay even if he misses his family from home. He has too many loved ones here to feel right about leaving. He developed some paternal feelings for some of the other young ones in the village as well and doesn’t want to leave them either. He also has grandbabies here that he doesn’t in the other world and plans to be there for them. He also loves his job and the magic of the place.
BRIDGET DUNSTAN
Bee asked for her brothers and Vogg. She knows the latter is probably a bit odd to ask for, but she missed the Viking, and she wanted to see him again. She decided to stay in the village because she knew that, as a copy of herself, she was living her "natural" timeline. It was fine to explore this one still. Besides, she'd found her happiness in the village.
CEDRIC DIGGORY
Cedric is staying, at least for a while. Knowing that he is going back to certain death doesn't make the option particularly appealing. He'll keep managing the gym while learning medicine, as he wanted to be a healer before all this happened. Maybe he'll eventually come to terms with his death and head home, but honestly, there is no reason he couldn't live out a full happy life here, especially if he could find a way to bring his family and friends in for a while.
CHARLIE WEASLEY
Charlie Weasley is happy here in a way that he knows he never gets to be back home. He's married and has a ton of family around, He has a son who he would never let grow up without a father, and eventually he and Cressida had another kid to round out their family. He stayed the town Vet, and stayed keeping an eye on those dragons in the valley beyond the Village.
COLIN CREEVEY
Even if Colin could go back to the other world with no chance of dying, he would have chosen to stay in the Village. He has here the love of his life, and even though having a baby wasn’t exactly easy, he took well to being a father. He has a best friend he never expected, as well as plenty that he did. He would have asked for his brother to stay, and for his parents to come at least to meet the baby and Mac once. His life was a good one in the Village.
CRESSIDA WEASLEY
Cress stayed put. She wouldn't leave Charlie, and she refused to give up her son. She was sure that she would know, in her soul, that she'd given up something precious if she left her boys.
DOMINIQUE WEASLEY
Nikki decided to go back to her life where she was actually doing things that changed the world. The Village wasn't for her.
DRACO MALFOY
Draco returns in his early 20s, but from a time where he has largely moved past the war. He is quite happy to pick up on those friendships he had in the village. He'll love re-meeting his family, godchild, best friend, old friends, and all the rest. Eventually he'll settle down with someone and possibly have more children.
ERNIE MACMILLAN
Ernie grappled with his choice, but ultimately chose to remain. Now that there is a handle on the magic, he feels a duty to stay behind and help. However, he cannot swear to stay forever. He has left meticulous notes just in case. Eventually he brought his family from a time where they would not miss young children or grandchildren. He will ultimately settle down with someone.
GELLERT GRINDELWALD
Gellert elected not to remain in the village. Although he appreciated some of the experiences he had while living there, he missed his normal existence and what he had left behind. When the time came, he returned to Europe and his previous life. In the end, his life going forward was much the same as it was before he had left, although he never quite forgot the times that he had had within the village and a small part of him always wondered what life might have been like, had he remained there.
GIDEON PREWETT
Gideon will be staying in the village with Amelia and Elijah. He has a family here and a life, which he only has for a few more years in the real world. He will be bringing Fabian in again, and he'll be hoping his brother wants to stick around this time. He'll also want to see the others from the Order who aren't already here, especially those who have never been here since he arrived in the village.
GILDEROY LOCKHART
Gilderoy decided to stay. He's got Arianna here, and a much better future than the one that awaits him at home. He asked that Gilda (his mother) be brought here so that she could have the chance of a longer life - and, of course, knowing her son. He'll grow up to be a much more decent human being - but still as stylish as ever.
GREGORY GOYLE
Greg is torn. On the one hand, he misses his dad and Vince, but in the end decides that asking for them would bring more harm than good so he decides to ask for the one other person he misses to the point of heartache: his baby sister. For him, leaving is not an option as there's nothing waiting for him on the other side, and here he's got Doug, a job, and people who treat him with respect in spite of everything. He plans to grow old here and look after his dog (and other dogs that might follow) and his sister (until she marries or decides to leave, that is), and he'll be happy if things advance that way.
HERMIONE GRANGER
Hermione discusses this with Ron in depth and decides that if they can have Hugo and Rose here, they will stay here. They have everyone here that they don't have at home, Fred if possible and those loved ones such as Sirius and Remus who Hermione wants to stay near. She missed them so much these past years that she wouldn't pass up this opportunity. As long as her loved ones are here, she is happy. She begins the work she was doing back home, within the law sector, and will see where that takes her. Perhaps more children?
JAMES POTTER
James Potter, of course, decided to stay with his family in the Village. He has a daughter here for christ sake, and he couldn’t dream of leaving her. He would do whatever possible to keep his son, and grandchildren around for as long as he could. He would have requested friends from home to make the place seem like the old times, including Sirius and even his daughter-in-law, Ginny.
JAMES SIRIUS POTTER
Jamie is going home. As much as he loves the people here, now that he feels like his family is safe and comfortable, he wants his life at home. He needs the excitement of his job and wants to feel important and useful again as an auror, which he will gladly keep working at until they force him out. He will go on to marry a very sassy French woman named Collette and have four kids.
JUSTIN FINCH-FLETCHLEY
Justin is sticking around. He's got friends in the village, but he'd like to see the rest of his roommates from Hogwarts, too! And he'd like to see Hannah again, as well as his parents. He'll continue working/interning for Mike until he finishes his schooling, at which point he may consider getting another job.
KENDRA DUMBLEDORE
After calming down after the initial shock of the announcement, Kendra would've been off to find Arianna to ask her thoughts, because even though she'd love nothing more than getting to work on getting the rest of her family here she knows Ari's input is important - particularly in what time they come in from. In the end it was mutually decided to pull Percival from before the incident with the muggle boys, and to pull Albus and Aberforth from just after the moment Ari died. Finally they were all reunited and free to happily live as the family they all deserved.
At some point after their arrival Kendra decided that however much she liked her room at the castle it wasn't enough and asked the board if it was possible for to have a house built near the village - there were enough rooms for her children, but it was always up to them whether they wished to live/stay there or not. The place certainly would've been replete with gardens, and yes, one set aside for Ari as well.
Time would pass on and, a year or so after Percival's arrival in the village, herself and Percival decided to add to their family (particularly Kendra who had missed looking after her children) and were eventually blessed with a little girl, Alys.
LILY LUNA POTTER
As much as Lily loves her grandparents and Aunt Hope, and as nice as meeting her future daughter was, Lily wasn’t particularly happy where she was and made the decision to go home and live out her life as others would know--- eventually marrying Scorpius and meeting Polaris and her siblings for real.
LILY POTTER
She's staying here, no second thought about that. She has Hope, James and Harry. She has everyone she loves. She and James will go on to hopefully have more children and live the long, happy life they were denied. She will continue working within the hospital, making sure that everyone remains safe.
LISA TURPIN
Lisa chose to stay (shocker!). She believes she's in a good place now, her re-acceptance of the wizarding world and her magic. Lisa would ask for her father and half-sister, maybe learn about her daughter and ask for her. She'd want her friends too. In staying, she'd hope to develop a relationship with someone, from her time or another, and just be happy here.
LORCAN SCAMANDER
Lorcan Scamander stays in Fourteen Shades and marries Rose Zeller. Despite his initial reservations, the pair eventually grow their family by two and are completely happy for years. Even when they accidentally have their third kid. Lorcan doesn’t let his magicallessness get the best of him, and has a really great time in the village with his wife and kids.
LOUIS WEASLEY
Louis was amongst the few, who at first, weren't sure whether they wanted to stay in the village or return home. For him he had family in either place, maybe a little less back home, but they were still there. Truth be told, he still missed Minerva, but he wasn't sure he wanted to try that out again only for them not become friends at all. Eventually though, after too much moping around, someone convinced him it was still worth a shot whatever the outcome might be, and so he'd asked for Minerva to be brought in from the same time as when she last arrived in the village.
It took a while to build their friendship up again, but they had Quidditch to bond over and finally those recordings he'd asked his cousin for got put to good use - except when the other offices in the building complained about the loud cheering and commentating emanating from the Wandmaker's office (not their fault they forgot silencing charms half the time). Unfortunately, for Louis, Minerva's return meant the return of a pair of certain pink ear muffs - as much as he complained and whined about them, Louis was more than happy to wear them for Minerva even if he didn't like the colour.
It was maybe a year or two after her return before Louis finally found his Gryffindor courage and actually worked up the nerve to tell Minerva how he felt. Not that much changed for them afterwards except the title of their relationship and levels of intimacy. It certainly didn't change the competitiveness the two of them had whenever they played against each other in a Quidditch match.
LYSANDER SCAMANDER
Lysander is staying if his brother stays, less for himself and more so his family remains whole and so Lorcan doesn't miss him. He has his entire family back home, too, so that doesn't really influence his decision: it's who he has here. Lys will be asking to see Demelza again and will ideally be starting over with her, finding a better way to ask her out this time.
MARY MACDONALD
Mac was not excited about accidentally getting pregnant at her age and adjusting to motherhood was difficult for her, but she chose to stay because she loves Colin. She is not all that interested in knowing what happens to her in the other world because it seems dark with so many of her loved ones dead or missing. She not only has old friends here, but plenty of new ones too. Ultimately, she’ll be happy as a mum too although definitely not a typical one.
MEGAN JONES
Megan decided to go. She's only 15 and while she loves her friends and family, not being the same or proper age is a little difficult for her. However, Megan is okay if anyone wants her back, she just hopes that she is older.
MICHAEL CORNER
Michael chose to stay in the village. He enjoys working at Mike’s Corner, he has his children, and he is in love with his girlfriend. He also has several friends in the village. He would request that his third child visit the village, but at an independent age. He is interested in meeting Adam, but does not want to bring him at an age where he might be scared or disappointed about a young dad. He’d also request Terry and Nathan. Eventually he’d want his father so he could apologize for being difficult and ungrateful.
MILES BLETCHLEY
Miles was decidedly torn at first. On the one hand, he knew that a really nice future awaited him on the other side, with a yet unknown wife and at least one kid, and a career as a Quidditch superstar. On the other, he had grown attached to this insane village and to his even more insane pet. He decided that the best thing to do was to carry on for the moment. If at any point he decided he had had enough, he'd go back to potential superstardom and family bliss. That said, he'd be mad if he didn't take advantage of the new possibilities opened to them, and so he asked for his sister to be brought to the village, young enough for him to still be the big brother and look after her (he'd be damned if he let the Mike situation repeat itself) and big enough to join forces in wreaking havoc on poor unsuspecting relations. Eventually, he also asked for the Board to bring back Alicia because let's face it, things without Spinny weren't as much fun. It was only after an initial just-kiss-already sort of fighting period and the inevitable dating period following it that they realized that she was the elusive future Mrs Bletchley. Needless to say, they have remained together in the village ever since.
MOLLY WEASLEY
Molly was torn in the end. She wanted to go home, to go back to her babies, but, eventually, she talked herself into staying in the village because she had her brother, and he had his family. She asked for Fabian to be returned to them, too. Maybe down the line, she and Arthur had another baby of their own. They didn't have to worry about living in the fear of war, and Molly eventually let go of her past hurt.
MYRTLE MALLORY
Myrtle Mallory’s only other option is death, which does not please her. While she’s not really in the mood to stay at first, she decides it’s the only real alternative. She stays and grows slowly into a more confident adult, and when she becomes old enough, starts working within the school and comes a very understanding (yet strict) teacher.
NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM
An act of God wouldn't have been able to pull Neville away from his parents. He had them, finally, with their wits. He couldn't let them go, no after having needed them for so long. Without his Gran there, and with his parents' support, Neville thrived as he grew in the village, away from war.
PADMA PATIL
Padma is going home. She needs her sister in her life, and she isn't here. She'll go back to school and fight in the Wizarding wars.
PETER CORNER
Pete is staying. He likes knowing his dad at a younger age and being friends - almost brothers - with him. Believe it or not, he's also gotten used to Cass being so young. If his mother leaves, he'll eventually want to see her again, but at an age where she'll remember him. He's going to just be godfather to Cress's baby and continue to hang out with the cool people in the village, but he will most likely suggest bringing in hordes of random witches and wizards so they can have proper club nights. Crowds make the fun.
POLARIS MALFOY
After a lot of thinking, Polaris made the decision to return to her own time. It broke her heart, because she knew there were a multitude of family here who she would never know at home, but she also missed her siblings and the parents that she was familiar with. There would have been a long and tearful goodbye to Draco, Myrtle, Cressida, baby Alex, Remus, Pete, Justin, really everyone she was the slightest bit close to. It was extremely difficult for her, but she knew deep down she was making the right decision in the end. Polaris had never really felt completely fulfilled in the village, and she hoped returning home would manage to help fix that.
She went on to become a rather successful business woman, investing wisely in a lot of up and coming companies and projects. During this venture (which was over a span of about six years), Polaris also met and fell in love with a muggleborn wizard named Clark. They married several years later, and almost immediately had their first and only child Grace Luna.
Though her life wasn't always perfect, she was definitely happy with her decision. She remained just as close as she always had with her family as well. Almost more so.
REMUS LUPIN
Remus has nothing to return to, but has everything in the village. He is quite happy with his wife, son, and baby. He has his friends and Harry. He will stay and remain a teacher for as long as the village exists. He would request some former Order members for the village.
ROLF SCAMANDER
Rolf will be happy wherever Luna is, so they have decided to stay and explore the village and its surroundings. He'll remain the protector of all ducks and help at the school whenever his skills and knowledge are needed.
RON WEASLEY
Ron was torn at first. On the one hand, he wanted to get back to his own time and place and see his children grow up. On the other hand... this place could give him Fred back, the same way it gave Remus and Sirius, and Harry's parents and so many others. He talked things through with Hermione, and they decided on a compromise: they'd stay and ask for Fred (and George, of course) and if their grown-up children ever decided to leave, then they'd also get their kids back, at the right age they have back home. They'd see how things worked from there.
ROSE ZELLER
After the announcement was made that the village magic was finally understood, Rose really had to think for a while about her decision. She had a life back home, she had fame, friends, the career she had worked her entire life for, but the village had Lorcan. That's not to say there was no chance of her finding someone else she loved back in her own time, but honestly? She couldn't throw it all away, because she loved him and the friends she had made in the village way more. They were more than friends really, they were her family. And she knew back home she would get to do everything she ever wanted, so even though Rose wouldn't get the first hand experience, this was just as good, if not better.
Rose went on to marry Lorcan, as planned, and she kept up her job at the Wireless, expanding its capabilities in any way possible, and continued with her radio show. Instead of weekly though, she made it into a daily gig, enjoying the DJ business almost as much as she loved performing. She also became a voice coach and instrument instructor for anyone who came to the village and had any interest in music. Her doors were always open. And she was always willing to collaborate with new and old faces and be a supportive figure in any way she could.
After several years of marriage, Rose tried her hand at the whole parenting thing with Lorcan, and it opened up a whole new world of happiness, love and acceptance for her. They went on to have two kids, and after they thought they were finished there might have been one more oops child. Not that they were sad about it in the slightest though. The more, the merrier.
ROSMERTA HARKISS
Rosmerta is leaving. She misses her pub and the majority of the people she connected with have disappeared from the village. Beyond Ernie and Mac, she hasn't really made any other connections and feels kind of lonely most of the time, so she'll be going home and will be living out the rest of her life the way we all know she does.
ROXANNE WEASLEY
Roxanne Weasley enjoys being out of her parents shadows, but she’s been here for a long time at this point and ultimately decides to go home and see what life throws at her there.
RYLAN GOLDSTEIN
Rylan is staying- for now. I don't think she'll ever be able to really shake the fact that this place isn't "real", but she is absolutely fascinated by the village, and her cursebreaker brain will have her running all over the wilderness to explore every nook and cranny until she's satisfied. I don't see her staying forever, unless something suddenly tethers her here- she'll soak up as much as she can, and once she feels like she's learned as much as she wants to know, she'll likely say goodbye to loved ones and go home.
SALLY-ANN PERKS
After the village announcement, Sally Ann wasn't quite sure what she wanted to do. Staying was important because she had managed to find sobriety with the help of her friends. But back home was her future, one that didn't seem to be all that bad after a while. To say she didn't wrestle with the pros and cons of both would be a lie, but eventually she decided to stick around. If she ended up being too unhappy with her decision, she figured they could always send her back. She continued a lot of her work with the zoo as well as the pet store, ensuring the happiness and health of all of the animals there. She might have also decided to use her time to learn about animal medicine, something she would have never thought she had the capability to do until the village.
She remained close with all of her friends who decided to stay, and tried not to be sad about those who left. Sally Ann would have also been open about her substance abuse problems and encouraged anyone who might be suffering something similar to open up about it. She created a support group for a multitude of issues while in the village, and used her life experience as a basis to help other people. She tried to heavily involve herself in community driven activities and was generally a friendly and helpful individual, trying to know personally, and spend time with, all of the village inhabitants.
Eventually I see her dating around, and maybe finding someone to love and live with, if not eventually marry. Though Sally Ann never saw marriage as a necessity to love. I can also see her being a great mother, so she would have definitely had kids down the line.
SEBASTIAN HIGGS
Sebastian is leaving. What he has here is nowhere near the potential of what he can have back in the real world, and he wants to explore those options. He'll find a new person to casually hook up with and will return to his awesome job. Eventually, he might settle down, but that'd be far off in the future.
SUSAN BONES
At first, Susan thought it was a no-brainer to stay. She had her auntie Amelia, a new cousin, and friends in the village. But there was always a small voice in the back of her mind that knew she would survive and eventually thrive in the real world, and though the village granted security and family, Susan grew restless in a place where not much changed. The temptation to bring back certain loved ones was great, but Susan knew it wouldn't completely heal her, and she knew losing them had helped shape her, even though it was daunting at times. After staying a while and watching Eli grow, she made the conscious decision to return to the real world, where her choice paid off - she ended up moving up the ranks of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and continuing the Bones legacy.
TED TONKS
When faced with the chance to stay in the village or return to the real world, it was easy for Ted to make the decision to stay. As part of the Board, he helped with the transporting of people between worlds, as well as maintaining the wireless for entertainment purposes as well as more serious uses. He enjoyed the time gifted to him to spend with his wife, their daughter, and her family.
TEDDY LUPIN
Teddy didn’t hesitate to stay when given the option. He fell into step with his parents and when his younger sibling was born, did his best to help him. He definitely lacked a bit of direction at first, as the career paths he would have liked to enter aren’t an option in the Village. At the end of the day, he spends most of his time with his family and friends, eventually settling down with someone and having a kid of his own and living the small town dream.
WENDELIN
Wendelin is staying, mostly just because she likes being around other magical beings. She has the freedom to be who she is in the village and she likes that. Soon enough, she'll ask the Governing Board to bring her children to the village. It's been a very long time since she's seen them and she would like to see how they're doing. Aside from that, she'll continue setting random fires and will work on getting to know more people in the village.
