Sebastian didn't exactly spend a lot of time with Albus Dumbledore, but he was the only other person who worked at the ice cream shoppe. At least Dumbledore was someone he could respect. Now he was stuck working with Harry Potter, but Seb figured they could do ignore each other for the most part. It's what he wanted to do. Harry had been unimpressive as an eleven-year-old, and Seb hadn't changed his mind about that while Potter was in the village before. He wasn't likely to just because they were working together now. Seb also felt like he should've been given the management position, since he had seniority and all that. The village must not have cared, though. Then again, if he'd been manager, he'd want to change all the rules.
No loud, obnoxious, large groups of students in at the same time. No loitering after you got your ice cream. The tables would all vanish, except the one he needed to sit down at during his breaks. That would be ideal, but Seb had a feeling he wouldn't be allowed to do that even if he were the manager. And being the manager might mean he actually had to care instead of getting people their sugar and sending them on their way. Maybe he just wasn't management material. On second thought, Seb was fine with it. He was mostly just glad they'd found someone else to pick up the slack so he wouldn't be the only person working there. He had things to do and he enjoyed his time when he didn't have to work.
He didn't talk to many people in the village, but the ones he did talk to were all right. He was even getting used to some of the others. Namely a certain blonde Weasley, but she was just someone to spend the time with. Seb didn't care one way or the other about her. They just met mutual carnal needs and that was it, and that was all he wanted. And yet she still found time to bother him at work. He stopped being surprised when she walked through the door of the ice cream shoppe. He even knew generally what to expect from her, and he kept the sugar cones close at hand, so he was prepared when she came in this very day. "You need to stop coming here, you know," he said when he spied the familiar long blonde hair coming toward him.
