The mention of the man that would eventually succeed him as the most feared Dark Wizard in the Wizarding World created mixed feelings in Gellert. He had heard much about the individual from Albus when he had first arrived, as if a type of scolding to dissuade him from being his usual self while there. It did not do any good, of course but Gellert had always been patient and he was willing to bide his time as long as necessary, especially if it meant lulling the village and its people into a false sense of security.
He could, however, appreciate the loyalty that both this boy and the Lestranges had shown to his successor, even if he had his misgivings about the individual. "You have an admirable sense of loyalty. How unfortunate the the majority of your counterparts did not follow suit, but instead chose to hide behind convenient methods to save their skins by hiding their true beliefs. And how unsurprising that Albus was partly responsible for the fading loyalty of some."
A spark of curiosity again flourished inside him. "What happened to the Aurors? The ones you broke."
