Terry was caught between in a pure panic and happiness. Because Rosemary was at school for the first time, and he couldn't really go back a fourth time 'just to check' on her and make sure she had the lunch she needed, that she was happy, that she she had the right shoes and clothes for the day. He hadn't expected to be so nervous that day, nor had he expected to have so much trouble leaving her behind in class. Somehow she had snuck up on him and stolen his heart. He loved that little girl more than life itself, and while he was thrilled that she was going to start learning... he was terrified.
Which was why he was currently at Peter's door, knocking and hoping that the other man was home and not at work at the grocery. Or worse, that Snape would open the door- he hadn't talked to Snape since arriving, but you could hardly blame Terry for that; Snape was a figure of his childhood that had stood for a lot of negativity. Yes, he knew history said he was really a hear at the end of the day, but well... it wasn't easy to just let go of that. Knocking again, he waited to see if Peter would come as he held onto the bag of pears he's brought with him. He'd brought fruit to the school for the teachers, but had kept a few for he and Peter to share. He wasn't dressed for work yet, instead just in jeans and a plain black tee as he waited by the door, glad they were right side up.
