Alice had been stressing herself out lately. She was a girl who disliked spontaneity, and maybe that was why the village was such an enigma to her, something she just couldn’t grasp. She had family, and she had friends, and she reminded herself that being with them made up for all the headaches and confusions. And sometimes, it honestly did.
And then there were times where her entire family was seemingly at ends. Their parents had fought, and their mum had disappeared. Frankie was hurt and popping off more than he should, and it was upseting her dad (she could tell) but also her grandfather. And of course, he came to her for insight. But honestly, Allie was just worried with all of his drinking, and his refusing to leave his room and his attitude.
So, she was quick to drop everything (which was honestly just some light reading) when Frankie told her where to meet him. She watched him for a moment, dropping to her knees next to him and surveying the plot.
“Need any help?” Like all Longbottom children, she’d grown up with an appreciation for herbology, and a familiarity that belied natural skill. Plus, she didn’t want to push Frankie to talk right out of the gate.
