It wasn't that it was that late of a night for Tonks, it was more that she was tired. She'd gone out to dinner that night, knowing it was safer not to cook for herself. It was kind of pathetic that she couldn't actually cook much for herself. Really pathetic. Something that nagged her more now than it had before. Knowing she had a kid in the future, with her dreamlike memories of being with someone other than the father of her child. It all got a little bit to confusing for her. Tonks decided to avoid it and just move on. Part of her wanted to talk to her mother about it, but that wasn't as easy as it sounded. Not with the whole different ages and such. It just sort of messed with her mind.
So, she had eaten dinner at Parking in the Rear by herself and had ended up there a lot later than she had expected to. She had spent her time reading through the journals. It felt like it took forever for her to catch up on everything. Why she bothered? Well, it was something to do. Not to mention she had some new weird job that involved following people around. Her first person, Albus Potter. Charlie was in a lot of cases her first choice, but Albus was sweet and she felt like he deserved it better. Besides she had invited a fellow Hufflepuff who was an actor now to come along with her. Probably better not to start with Charlie.
"Thanks." She muttered as she paid and got up from the table heading out of the restaurant the night air felt good. Instead of taking a fast track home she took her time walking home. She wasn't expecting to run into the person who had been part of there thoughts a lot sense she got here. Learning about her future and trying to accept it wasn't easy for her, especially with her minds thoughts about someone who was supposed to be her best friend.
"Charlie…."
