Ginny liked to make a big deal about birthdays. It had been one of the few things growing up that had been just her's. They didn't have much, but her Mum and Dad had gone to extra lengths to make those days special for them and Ginny had definitely kept up the tradition in the Potter home. Even if Harry still didn't quite understand it.
She was thrilled when Albus had asked if they could spend some quality time together after practice. She loved any excuse to spend time with her kids and it made her a little gooey inside to think that her son had taken the time and thought to plan something so special for her. The flight had been so nice and wonderful and she had enjoyed every minute. Back at home, the kids were just starting to learn on training brooms and so getting to watch them all grown up and flying so brilliantly was a special treat for her.
She tried to get ready for lunch as quickly as possible. Finding appropriate clothing for an upscale lunch was tricky, though not impossible. She did own a skirt or two after all. She paired it with a plain white camisole and a dark green cardigan sweater and a sensible pair of sandals. She was just pinning her hair out of her face when she heard Albus outside and hurried to the door.
"Perfect timing!" She said brightly, tucking a loose red curl behind her ear. "Look at you! So handsome! You Potter boys know how to clean up nice." She teased lightly. "Where to, love?"
