Allie frowned as she listened to him talk. It had a good ending, hadn’t it? Though, of course, now that she thought, she couldn’t recall having seen his Uncle George around town, so maybe it had all sorted out because he’d left which was an even sadder thought. She didn’t want any of her family to have to leave so they could work out. She sighed, and she turned then so that she was facing him. If he felt anything like how she’d been feeling than he most certainly needed a hug. She wrapped her arms around him and squeezed for a moment, her face buried into his chest.
“I love my family, and I’m so glad all of them are here, especially my grandparents because well… I’m sure you understand.” She chewed on her lip for a second there, “And I have faith that we’ll figure out a way to be happy and still be around each other. I just… I just want my family to be happy.”
