ROSE'S SUPER AWESOME CAMPING TRIP WEEKEND
What: CAMPING Who: WHOEVER WANTS TO COME, SERIOUSLY Where: Close to the forged woods/Forked River on the map When: Friday-Sunday Rating: Probably low?
Alright, as per usual this post can be used for IC threading or OOC summaries. But I also wanted to use it to post the itinerary that Rose (AND FRIENDS) have concocted for the next several days so people know how this will play out. They are also more than welcome to do their OWN thing, but she figured since she planned the camping trip, she should have also figured out some events.
FRIDAY: Consists of journeying to their camping spot, which Rose has scouted out in advance. They will be camping on the edge of the woods and the first several hours will be dedicated to setting up/settling in. Anyone who wants to learn how to pitch a tent the MUGGLE way, Rose will be giving lessons and walking around, trying to teach anyone who needs assistance. She will also be setting up fire pits as well as a latrine tent because she realizes most people aren't going to want to do their business in the middle of the woods... you're welcome..
After things are set up it's LUNCHTIME. There will be a variety of cold cut sandwiches, fresh fruit and vegetables, chips, soda, water, and juice.
Once lunch is finished Rose has set up a tubing, swimming area on the river. Anyone who wants to float can choose from an array of SINGLE TUBES or DOUBLE TUBES and there is enough of a current to let you lazily float down the river. Rose however HAS made it that you can't go past a certain point, just because she doesn't want people going TOO far away and not being able to get back. Anyone who wants to just swim, tan, relax on the beach will have a roped off section of river to do just that.
Rose has also provided a variety of SUPER SOAKERS, volley balls, nets, and fishing equipment for anyone who wants to do something other than swim/float. She's got your backs, guys.
Towards the end of the afternoon, IF anyone is interested, she might have organized a water gun battle between two separate teams.
Once finished with that is dinner time/relaxation time. Dinner is regular hot dogs/hamburgers and/or veggie hot dogs/hamburgers, baked beans, coleslaw, soda, water, juice, etc. THERE WILL ALSO BE CAMPFIRES AND S'MORES ALL THE NIGHTS YAY.
SATURDAY: People are allowed to wake up whenever they please, but breakfast will still be served at around 9 am. There will be pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, syrup, orange juice, milk, and coffee.
After breakfast people are encouraged to lounge around for a bit to digest and get ready for the days activities. Once again there are several options, but the main ones are: FISHING or HIKING. Fishing is kind of self explanatory. She has marked off several great fishing spots, provided bait, lures, and poles for anyone wanting to go as well as nets to store fish in if they want to keep them (which they can eat later if desired). The second activity is HIKING, but it's not JUST HIKING. *THIS ACTIVITY IS FOR THE MORE ADVENTUROUS INDIVIDUALS IN THE GROUP* They will be hiking to a small CLIFF FACE where they will be cliff diving into the water below. Both the hike there and the hike up for each jump is a bit of a walk, so like stated, this is for the more adventurous/endurance driven characters.
Once again too, everyone is more than welcome to go floating on tubes, swimming in the river, tanning, etc. The activities are not mandatory, just there for individuals enjoyment. Those who do go hiking and fishing will have lunch provided for them. Players choice here, but it will probably be pretty simple again. Sandwiches. Salads. Etc.
After the days activities, there will be several campfires lit at the camping group and there will be lots of guitar playing and singing campfire songs. Dinner is grilled chicken/steak, green beans/corn, fruit, biscuits, potatoes, and s'mores for dessert!!! ALL THE S'MORES EVER.
People are encouraged to do whatever they like, whether it's go to bed or stay up into the wee hours of the morning.
SUNDAY: As this is the last day of camping, people are more than welcome to leave early. Breakfast will be provided, similar to Saturday's except they have the choice of waffles and oatmeal now as well.
If they don't leave early, the same activities from day 1 will be available, but Rose has also added a rock climbing adventure. Anyone who wants to stick around can learn to rock climb with Rose, this includes different climbing techniques, proper equipment usage/set up, and the ever fun part of repelling once at the top. She will also take any suggestions people have this day for more activities they'd like to do. Around 3:30-4 PM, Rose will bring everyone back to the camp site, break down the site, and then head home!!!
If anyone has any more questions about the trip, please feel free to let me know! There might have also been some arts and crafts stuck in there somewhere during downtime. Learn to make a dreamcatcher, rain stick, etc...
