Kendra surveyed the room once more and smiled proudly when she examined the spread Arianna had put on for Albus' birthday tea. "It all looks quite lovely, sweetheart," she commented, smiling as she turned to face Arianna.
She had had her own troubles trying to think of what to get her son for his birthday. She had finally settled for working on a patchwork quilt, that she had only finished the other day, which now being wrapped up neatly she placed on a small side table out of the way.
Looking up when she heard a knock, she smiled brightly when she spied Albus entering the room. Quickly walking over to him, Kendra hugged her son and kissed him on the cheek, "Happy Birthday, darling."
