Who: AJ and Neville Longbottom What: A chance meeting Where: Smuggled When: Thursday Afternoon
AJ had always been what one might describe as a cautious sort of girl. This was doubly so when money was involved. She never liked to spend a whole lot of money on one object, especially when there was a lot of unknown variables. What if something she needed broke? Or what if she got sick? What if someone she loved needed the money more? There were always a million what ifs that ran through her head, and she simply liked being prepared and she never felt like she was truly prepared when she didn’t have any money.
But here she was, standing in front of the most beautiful cello she’d ever seen. Getting it, and all the necessary accessories to keep it tuned and well put together would take up a large chunk of the coin in her account, she knew, but she’d been playing since she was seven, and honestly missed it in an odd way. Carefully, she took it down off the shelf and held it in her hand, she plucked a few of the strings to check if they were in tune, before pulling a bow from the shelf.
Holding the cello that was not yet hers carefully, Allie ran the bow over it, playing a few measures of a song she knew by heart. She listened carefully, checking the tone and tune of the strings and cello for a few moments before stopping. “This will do nicely,” She said to herself, spinning the large instrument around in examination.
