"I'm glad that we do," she replied with a grin. Even though she knew it probably wasn't for forever in the village, there was no certainty about how long they could live there together. Months, years...they feasibly could spend the rest of their lives there growing old together. The magic was too unpredictable to know for sure. Certainly she missed her father, but mostly all of her friends were there at some age. She held tight to the hope that maybe her mother would show up as well.
Luna scooted a little bit closer to Rolf until their legs touched and she could very comfortably reach over and take his hand in hers. She thrived on that closeness, "Did you have a good day?"
