Gellert hesitated and a long moment passed because of it. He had never spoken to anybody of what had happened in England all those years ago, and realising the possbility of telling someone now overwhelmed him a little. He let silence creep back into the room while he took a couple sips of tea from his cup, while he ordered and sorted his thoughts so that he could explain in a consice and straightforward manner. He was aware of the uncertainty surrounding the event in question but Gellert was willing to make it appear like he believed his own innocence, even if he actually did not.
He took a deep breath before saying, "I was blamed for a death in England," while he just let his fingers trace the edge of his tea cup in an effort to give his hands something to do. "The death of Arianna Dumbledore." His blue eyes held considerable, if slightly veiled, emotion with regards to that name. "I have killed a great number of people and take credit for each one without concern or remorse, but I was not the bringer of her death."
