The dark wizard let his piercing blue gaze glance to the side briefly but he did not miss the way in which Guy's shoulders tensed. Gellert was a pureblood, like Guy, but he had never grown up with much of a necessity to keep his hopes and dreams and wants to himself. Instead, it was only after he had met the Dumbledore family that Gellert began to display more secrecy about his deepest thoughts; after all, he had created big plans with Albus but had seen them dashed to pieces after Aberforth had intervened.
A wry smile crossed Gellert's lips. "You have learned about the future that awaits you, then. How many children do you have?" he asked. When he had first arrived, Gellert had also learned much about what his so-called future would be, from Albus; suffice to say, he had not been impressed and had inwardly refused to believe it for a while but after reading history books and with the arrival of people such as Guy, he had been forced to accept it as a serious possiblity.
"I have some," Gellert admitted, and a sly grin floated onto his lips. "My current occupation affords me quite a lot of freedom, more then I believe a lot of individuals in this village think I should have. I hope to construct myself a place somewhere, a fair distance from the village, that will end up being solely mine. I shall be free to plan further then. Currently, everything I do remains deep in the recesses of my mind because I cannot afford to even write a single thing down, lest unwelcome eyes find it."
