"I'm all right," Hugo protested. He was embarrassed that sitting up had nearly made him keel over. Maybe he had lost a lot of blood... but it hadn't seemed like a lot. Maybe he had underestimated his nostrils. His vision swam back to normalcy in slow degrees. Somewhere in the midst of it all, he had grabbed a hold of Ron's arm. He didn't fully realize it until he could see again, but he didn't let go yet.
"I've broken several, but this is the first time I've broken my nose," he told her. "You know what you're doing, yeah?" Hugo asked bluntly. He seldom had the patience for trial and error. Even less when it came to his bones.
