WHO: Hugo Weasley and Guy Avery
WHAT: Culture/decade shock
WHEN: July 21st, midday
WHERE: In front of Sewn Together
He wasn't looking where he was walking. His eyes seemed to focus on every single monument, building, and tree around him, but not on the road his feet stepped upon. The journal that he'd been given upon arrival had been extremely useful in giving him information, and now he was setting upon the task of listing every business and house he passed by under a private entry for his reference alone. After all, research had always served Rudolph Avery well, and he had no intention on going to the clothes store that day where she was... a clerk. It was an insult, honestly. He was a barrister in his own home, for Merlin's sake! Never mind a father of three (six according to Lestrange).
Dressed in the same clothes as the day before, a black three piece suit and dress shoes, he looked slightly uncomfortable in the heat. After all, it had been New Years for him. He'd just count down the minutes with his family, and had gave Edith a kiss on her chubby toddler's cheek as she squealed in delight. He missed her already. Guy missed all of his children, he even missed his wife and his business. The feeling of alienation was already strong. People came from other eras, and he had yet to know if those eras were one of good change or bad.
Looking down at his notebook to make special note of the Sewn Together shop location he would eventually have to walk into, he continued on after a moment, finding himself walking head first into a young man with red hair. In his surprise, he dropped his journal and pencil, the sketch of the town's walk and careful script of the names falling into a small patch of mud. His lips tightened as he bent to pick it up, apologizing in a severely polite, but faked, British accent.
"My apologies."
