WHO: Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks WHERE: House 38 WHEN: Monday evening WHAT: Sharing some news RATING: Low STATUS: Closed/Incomplete
Tonks nervously paced through the bottom level of the house, not entirely sure what she was going to say. She'd rehearsed her mini-speech a million times since that morning, when the date had dawned on her (thanks to the change in age, things had been a bit muddled), but the closer evening came, the less sure she was. She could've been wrong. Really bloody wrong. Or worse, if this was actually happening, the reality of it all might hit them both the wrong way, and--
She took a deep breath. Not the time to freak out. Everything was fine. One way or the other, it would be fine.
She'd ordered Chinese for dinner and plated it so it looked like it wasn't takeaway - though of course it was - and now all she needed was her husband to come home. Teddy was out with his friends, no doubt, and this was probably a conversation that it would be good to have with just the two of them anyway. If anything came of it, they would talk to Teddy about it later.
As soon as she heard the door open, she burst into the living room from her spot in the kitchen. "Remus! You're home." She stared at him for a long moment. "I - er, I ordered dinner."
