“There isn’t?” Bella said as she watched her sister’s behavior and tune. “I appeared here on my wedding day. It is only natural I would seek him out.” Her sister was quick to judge, but she was right. Bella sat there in silence and actually listened to what her sister had to say. Narcissa brought up their other sister a mixture of pain and anger flashed before Bella’s eyes. That was something she could not hide. That wound was still fresh in Bella’s time and she had not yet healed from that betrayal.
When Narcissa finished, Bella titled her head. “You are right my sister. I do not know the pain you suffered through the long years. I always thought of Malfoy not suitable match for you. I have heard that the Dark Lord was here and fell through a portal.” Looking down at the table as she traced her finger along the lines before Bella continued. “He did not cry victim, just merely a warning. You know where I stand on things.” Bella was taught from a very young age that she was superior because she was a pureblood. Bella wasn’t one to change her loyalist as swiftly as her sisters.
“I am not going to lie. I am disappointed with you. But Rodolphus is my husband now. My loyalists will lie with him. Nothing you could say or do will change that.” Bella stood up and picked up her cloak. She was being eerily calm, “But do you honestly believe that I would be a welcome in this society? After torturing the Longbottoms in the near future? Do you think they would forgive me? Or how about the murders I have committed in the future? No. I don’t think so. And the thing is Cissa, I don’t feel remorse of things that haven’t come to pass.” Looking at her sister for a long moment, “I came here to hear what you have to say. And now that I have heard it for myself…” She trailed off and looked around again she was starting to get that itch to destroy something. But not here.
