Rodolphus had made quick work of heading to the boat house. He'd already planned on spending the night there simply because it was easier to ward against others than his home was. Particularly since his roommate seemed to sympathize with the fools in this place. The only difference in his plan was the grabbing of a bottle of fire whiskey on his way out the door.
He hated this place. It had ruined is belief in the future. A perfect future that he was certain had begun the night he and Bellatrix had joined not only each other but the ranks of the Dark Lord. He'd struggled himself to come to terms with it all. He wasn't sure how he was going to tell her but he needed to be completely up front with her.
"My beautiful Bella," he spoke softly as he stepped out of the shadows. On arm extended to show his mark. He hadn't seen her in such a bright color in years. It had been so long in fact that he'd forgotten how she'd taken his breath away the first time he'd seen her in her dress. What he hadn't forgotten was how quickly it had disappeared from her that night as they reveled in their new roles.
