Amelia knew it was a lot to take in. Hell, that was an understatement. But the unfortunate part of this place is that it didn't exactly give people time to adjust.
Waiting quietly as Susan sat there, she didn't try to push her into talking or anything any quicker than she wanted to be. Sometimes silence was just what someone needed, and she wanted to give the girl as much time as necessary. After all, she had just been through a war and figured out her entire family who had in fact been killed during said war and before were alive and well. It was enough to make any normal person's head spin.
"Yes, she's the one with Bob the hippo. Once you're settled in and things are a little... easier to understand, we can go see them. I'm sure they'd love to see you."
Tilting her head a bit though at Susan's comment, she wondered what it was that she wanted to know but didn't think her aunt could answer. It left her wanting to stay on that topic, but perhaps it was best to move on. It seemed that's what Susan preferred anyway.
"You presume correctly," Amelia stated with a small laugh, picking at a bit of cookie and nibbling on it slightly. It may not have been the time for it, but Mel was sort of always hungry. "Gideon Prewett, actually. He was good friends with your Uncle Edgar back in... back in normal time, I suppose is the best way to put it. When he came here he helped me through a lot.. and then some attacks on the village came to pass and we just sort of.. fell for each other?" Smiling slightly and looking down at her stomach she added, "This part wasn't exactly planned though. We can chalk that up to a big glitch in the magic of this place. But I can't say I'm mad about it by any stretch. After all," she added, giving Susan a small smile, "I was too busy back home with everything to focus on something like a child. Here? Well I get to do that over."
