Susan nodded as Frankie explained his plan. "Better doing something than freaking yourself out worrying about it." She had to admire his work. He really was his father's son, after all. "Well, if something happens to your mum, I'll be there to take care of you. Provided nothing happens to me, either." She sighed.
"So... I know it's kind of mad right now, and maybe even non-applicable, but somehow I missed the part where you have a girlfriend." She gave Frankie a bit of a sidelong glance. "You don't have to elaborate if you don't want to, but..." She trailed off, and contrary to her words, there was a bit of an expectant note in her voice.
