Who: Older!Dennis and Colin Creevey What: 13 years is a long time When: After Denny's arrival and Ginny finds him Where: In the village then their house.
To say that Dennis was nervous was an understatement. In his time, his brother had been gone for 13 years. 13 of the longest years of his life. He'd been broken, the whole family had been broken, and they had to rebuild themselves back up again. It took a long time, but Dennis was finally back on track. He had a family. A wife, a son and daughter who meant the world to him. He was teaching at Hogwarts and he had found a passion. But seeing Colin? Would that strengthen what he had worked so hard for? Or would it break him down again? There was only one way to find out.
The journal and Ginny had explained well enough, though he didn't think he'd ever really be able to wrap his mind around this. It wasn't hard, once they were farther away from the lake, to spot Colin. He was a little older, obviously, but he looked exactly the same as he had when he'd been 16.
The comments over the journals, the disbelief, it all disappeared as Dennis saw him for the first time in 13 years. In half a beat, Dennis broke away from Ginny's side and rushed to his brother, wrapping him in a big, strong hug. "I'm taller then you."
