A small frown pulled at her lips when he said he'd been there for over a year. She had a hard time fathoming such a thing when she'd just seen him two days before. Latching onto the detail that she'd been there before, but younger, she had a feeling that it hadn't turned out well. She had vanished or somehow disappeared in another way, and he'd been left alone again, "When I was younger...I didn't know you." Luna worried that she'd been less excited to see them then. If it was closer to her time just outside of school, she had been weary of attachments.
He pressed his forehead to hers and she closed her eyes for a long moment, breathing the same air, her fingers idly playing with the hair at the nape of his neck, "I will do my best to stay this time, Rolf. I don't know what happened before, but I know it must have saddened you. I would have been sad, if it was you who had gone."
