"I like that theory," Bill said with an easy grin. "I'm not sure it's true, but I like it." He did figure that they had to give her something to worry about every now and then. He and Charlie had a tendency for a bit of trouble, but nothing outrageous. Percy was downright boring, but the twins had certainly kept her on her toes. In any case, he had always figured if the earring was the worst thing he did as a son, he was in good shape.
"I think you were," Bill said, nodding. "And they were certainly more trouble than the rest of us put together."
Bill paused for only a moment when his father started to launch into the questions that involved the more recent parts of his life.
"Curse breaker," Bill answered. "I was working in Egypt, and I loved it there." He still missed Egypt so much, even though so much time had passed. When he had come back to England, he had thought it would be temporary. But that was seeming to be less and less of the case. "Once the war broke out, I came back home. Took a desk job so that I could help out more with the Order. Met someone." He smiled faintly and held up the hand that he wore the wedding ring Fleur had gotten him the last time she was here. "I'm engaged when I'm from. About to be married. We end up having three children. Victoire - my oldest daughter - she's here now."
