Rodolphus understood the desire not to bother anyone with needs. He'd learned how to get along here completely on his own. There were a few people he could trust but with the variety of situations from whence everyone came he didn't always feel he could reach out to them.
He cringed when the girl stated she'd arrived from a Muggle university. Why was it that so many thought that they were safe and didn't need their wands when they were around those without magic. He'd seen the damage a Muggle could do when they thought they had power. "That wasn't very wise of you," he gave her a slight reprimand. "You should always carry your wand. It is part of your birth right."
