The wry grin remained on his lips, despite Albus's remark; the apparent difference in their age gave him the opinion that Albus was not much different from the person he remembered. "Albus Dumbledore, ever noble." His hand hadn't moved from the left pocket of his trousers, where his wand was hidden, but he was still relaxed despite the rather charged situation. He knew Albus would not attack without a good reason and he wasn't going to give the younger man a reason for now. He had multiple questions and he knew that Albus could answer them, otherwise he wouldn't be here.
Gellert let out a bemused chuckle at what Albus said, lifting his chin a little. "I can tell that this is not the same world. There is a highly important feature which is missing, for one," he replied, sarcasm lacing his voice. He was still unimpressed with the loss of Nurmengard, after all of the work that he'd put into its creation; if one knew him well enough, it could even be said that he was actually sulking about it a little. "So bring me to this village, then. Or are you going to first berate me like a teacher would do a child? Which is not going to work, so don't bother wasting your breath." He rolled his shoulders back a little. "I can tell people know me, with the way they responded to what I'd said in that journal...."
He turned around without warning and walked back over to the rock, picking up the small journal which had briefly been discarded, then walked back to where Albus was. "And what's this about people knowing my future? Not that it apparently matters right now, from what the first page of the journal said."
