Ted was immensely pleased with the work the Board had put into bringing Disney World to their corner of the universe. It had been quite the feat, but worth the contentment it seemed to be bringing to the village.
He'd been out and about for a number of reasons: to check up on everything and everyone and make sure things were still going smoothly, but also to enjoy the fruits of his labour. So far, he'd ridden the Monorail from Magic Kingdom to Epcot and back (just because), eaten a pretzel and then some in the German pavilion of World Showcase, ridden the Indiana Jones ride, and was working his way through the rides at Magic Kingdom. He'd done Splash Mountain, the railroad ride (the fast one with the explosives), and the jungle river cruise when he decided it was time for a break.
Pineapple ice cream. It was intriguing, and somehow he didn't think Brain Freeze had had that flavour in stock yet, as far as Ted could recall. He stopped to get some, and while sitting down, recognised a young man talking to his own float. "Is that you, lad?" He addresses his nephew. "Talk to your ice cream much? It might not talk back if it melts." He gave the younger gentleman a warm smile.
