"Well, I'd hope not, because I don't have any better ideas," Ted replied. He furrowed his brow as he surveyed his surroundings, and sighed. "I know the village is that way," he pointed. "I venture we go a little deeper into the forest. The caves have to be on the edge of the forest somewhere, and we know the forest doesn't go on forever." He shrugged.
They fell into step together, with Ted taking care to make sure he watched around them, keeping his wand up and listening for anything suspicious. The forest seemed to just get thicker, and for a while, Ted almost thought it was a lost cause.
And then...
It happened so fast that he almost thought it didn't - a flash of a cloak, a whisper through the woods. He stopped and then looked closer, and then looked at Lily Luna. "Did you --" He paused, then looked around again and lowered his voice. "Did you see that?"
