Re: BATTLE TIME
James was not happy. Albus had been taken. His stubborn sister had gone looking for him all by herself in a forest swarming with death eaters, and he had no idea what was going on. As much as he loved his job and the rush it gave him tracking down 'the bad guys', he also liked to walk into a situation with some level of preparedness. As he approached the caves, he couldn't help but feel like he was running blind.
When he finally managed to track down Lily, he was beyond startled to see a familiar blonde standing next to her, and it took everything in him not to shout at her, throw her over his damn shoulder, and heave her skinny blonde butt home. "What the hell are you doing here?" he hissed. Of course she had shown up. She couldn't help herself. Maybe he could just tie her to a tree before they went in. That seemed reasonable. Maybe Lilu, too, for good measure.
But he needed to focus. He had never been particularly talented at separating his emotions from his work- he was pretty sure he took after his father in that way- but he had to get his head in the game for something like this. "We're out numbered," he pointed out, "But we've got the element of surprise on our side. We're going to need that."
