Re: AFTERMATH
Liam was not exactly a fighter. Granted, he wasn’t expecting a Death Eater ambush the second he stepped out of the wards either. Sure, he knew that Rabastan had been one, and now he wasn’t, but he still hadn’t expected a handful to be waiting for one of them. Of course, Liam had been the only one who was actually in the house they were watching, and he refused to give them any information, but that seemed to hardly matter to them. They recognized this man, and maybe he would prove to be useful, and at the very least, he had to have information.
His time in the cave was bad, but short, thankfully. He’d been pretty damaged trying to fend them off (mostly superficial, with a bit of Crucio) and his wand had been dropped in the fight in the yard, but that didn’t mea Liam should have been counted out. After his shackles were free, he picked up a discarded wand (whether it belonged to another prisoner, or a fallen DE, he couldn’t say) and began hexing everything that looked like a threat.
Because Ernie was there, and there was no way he was going to leave his boy their to fight while he ran. Liam was a coward by most terms, but even that was below him. When the air was cleared, and those few Death Eaters who hadn’t been taken down seemed to have fled, Liam took time to finally approach his son.
“Not exactly the bonding moment I had in mind for this week.” He smirked a little bit, nervously fussing at his own hair, ignoring the small cut on his cheek that had already started to scab over. “You okay?”
