FINDING THE CAVE
It was the second time that Lilu had lost someone while the village was on lockdown. First when Polaris has taken it upon herself to wander off, and now her brother. She wouldn’t blame herself though, as much as she wished she had been more away of what was going on, her brother was an adult and his decisions were his own. That did mean she wasn’t worried. She remembered August well enough, and the pain was real when someone you loved died, even if logically you knew they would be okay in their own time line. She remembered losing Jamie, and how much that hurt, and was determined to do everything she could so that it wouldn’t happen to Albus or any of the others who were kidnapped.
The woods seemed like the best place to hide if you didnt want to be found. It was large and it got darker the further in you went. It just made sense, though realistically it could have been any of the islands as well. This place was too big sometimes.
She’d been combing the woods slowly for what felt like hours, as she shifted through a thicker line of trees, she saw some movement out of the corner of her eye, and spun on her heel to face a man in his wand. It took her a second to realize that it was Ted. She hadn’t had a lot of experience with him, but she knew that it was Teddy’s grandfather, and more so not a threat to her.
She tried to give him a smile, but it didn’t quite make it to her eyes. “Hey. Looking for them too I take it?”
