Who: Romilda Vane What: The shop explodes Where: Crafts by Analisa When: During Analisa's kidnapping Warnings: Character Death
Romilda hadn't felt like going to school that morning since classes were cancelled but she also didn't want to stay at home. Therefore, she headed to the only other place that made her feel safe, the shop. Upon her arrival she immediately headed to the back and began sorting through the various craft magazines she'd collected to look for an idea for her next craft class.
As she looked, Romilda knew how ridiculous this was. Things were changing for the worse. The Dark Mark had been cast and she'd heard rumors that there were Death Eaters who hadn't made themselves known lurking in the woods. Still, there was something comforting about carrying on with business as usual. Flipping through the pages she found an idea that seemed perfect. There was a bit of fabric in one of the bins nearby and she could easily transfigure water into rubbing alcohol. What she didn't have that she needed were the markers to add color to the shirt. She would have to get those from the front of the store.
Just as she stood, Romilda heard Analisa's voice and wondered who had wandered into the store since most people had put themselves in lock down. When she got to the door that exited from the store room out into the shop she paused. A man she didn't recognized had come in. Quickly, she stepped to the side and silently warded the door so that it wouldn't make any noise if she needed to open it. She also knew that storming out to check on Analisa without properly assessing the situation wouldn't do either of them any good.
Before she had a chance to make another decision Romilda heard a blast and the wall beside her exploded sending her sprawling backwards, rubble landing all around. Romilda sat up but soon realized she wasn't going anywhere. Her right leg was pinned to the ground and her wand had been blown out of her hand. She tried to push the portion of wall off her leg and just as she thought to yell for help another blast hit and flames began to lick at the various supplies around her. Thankfully, the blast also threw another portion of the wall at her hitting her square in the chest. She was dead before the flames began to reach for the edges of her robes.
