Who: Megan Jones and Fabian Prewett. What: Family comforting. Where: Just around the outside of the food court. When: Shortly after getting unstuck. If it weren’t for the fact that Mike came tumbling out of the bathroom when he did, Megan might not have know they were unstuck. It had scared her, almost, as he unexpectedly entered the room, but she honestly had never been happier to see anyone in her entire life. She clung to him for a moment, pulling herself together long enough to decide to leave. Mike had offered to walk her back to the castle, but she’d declined. She needed to gather her thoughts anyway.
The rain was coming down hard when she made her way back towards her house, so much so that she was practically drenched despite the wand she held in her left hand. She clutched the wand so tight that her knuckles turned white, but it was almost as if she’d forgotten she could charm herself an umbrella. The wand in her hand wasn’t as comfortable as hers back home, but it would do. Her eyes scanned the area suspiciously, people were walking back to their homes from the places where they seemed to be stuck.
She almost didn’t notice her father, except that he was going against the flow of traffic and coming straight towards her. She stopped in her tracks, she wasn’t sure what to say to him, but thank Merlin that Goyle was gone or hiding. She felt tears welling in her eyes, but she felt that she could probably pass them off as rain. She stopped, but she didn’t know what to say to him.
