Gideon happily played the calming influence in Amelia's life. He was content being the rock, the one who the other leaned on for support. It was what he did best. Besides, he was a man. It was his job as the man in the relationship to be the strong one. Mel was pretty damn strong herself, and he wasn't knocking the fact that she was the one carrying the baby. Women had to be pretty damn strong to do that. Gideon wouldn't want to go through that ordeal. But he was the one strong enough to support her through it all, without fail.
Of course she had to bait him and challenge him into proving that she was wrong, though. Gideon fully disagreed with her statement, and his hands crept around to her ass. He roughly palmed her flesh, spreading his fingers as wide as he could to touch the most of her, and pressed her hard to him. "You're not exciting," Gideon countered, hands dipping between her legs from the back. Of course, he was lying, but he would let her think on it for a little bit. "If I weren't here, you'd be stuck all by yourself. You'd be bored. And lonely. I'd be free and out there, probably taking that dog of yours for a walk or something." He grinned down at her. "So remind me how I'd be bored?"
