Kosmo was Amelia's dog, but Gid was fond of the big monster. Still, he didn't really know what the animal's strengths were. He'd be surprised if the house wasn't a mess whenever they got home, if not from his attempts to get food, then from the lack of being able to go outside to do his business. That wouldn't be the poor guy's fault, though. Gid just hoped he wasn't the kind of dog who rolled in it. That would be incredibly disgusting, but if Mel trained him, then there was probably nothing to worry about.
His eyes followed Amelia's hands as she touched her stomach, and a small smile graced Gideon's face. You couldn't tell anything was there yet, but they all knew it existed. He'd accepted it as a fact of this altered life, but he wasn't quite at the stage of embracing it just yet. Hopefully that would change. Maybe when she started showing, or maybe when the baby started moving. Or maybe it wouldn't happen until the baby was born, but as long as it did happen. Gideon knew he had to make some sort of connection with his child. He just hoped it was sooner rather than later. Not at all wasn't an option.
"If we need to, I suppose we can transfigure more food or duplicate some." A doubling charm wasn't too difficult, and they had a wand which would make it possible. Gideon would prefer doubling to transfiguring, since transfigured food always seemed to have an aftertaste of whatever it had been originally. At least it seemed that way to Gideon, not that he had much experience with transfigured food to begin with. With a small smirk on his face, he stepped closer and placed his hands on Amelia's hips again. "Yeah? A fort out of ladies' blouses, sounds wonderful," he joked, the smirk getting a little bigger. "Or would a trouser fort be better for you?"
