Archery practice Who: Frankie & Ava What: Archery practice Where: TBD When: Friday (yeah its still Valentine's day that's not weird at all stop judging ok we're fine kthx) COMPLETE
For once in his life, Frankie was not looking forward to the weekend. He had reached a point where he wasn't really sure what to do with himself. He might perhaps have gone exploring, but the shine on that idea had unsurprisingly been rubbed off since he'd seen what could happen to people alone in the woods. He'd decided to do his best not to think about it.
Valentine's was a dumb holiday, anyway.
Still, he liked the idea of spending some time with Ava, especially if she could teach him more about how to defend himself without magic. As he had told Remus, school didn't really help with this, either back in the real world, or in this one, and he rather liked the idea of being a pseudo-medieval badass. He did his best not to consider how his lack of hand-eye coordination might affect his ability to hit targets with a sharp, narrow stick fired from a bow.
He'd thought at the last minute to grab some picnic-style food, which he'd stuffed haphazardly into a backpack before meeting Ava. He fell easily into step with her, shortening his stride just a little for her benefit. "So where are we headed?" he asked cheerfully after a while. At least, he did his best to sound cheerful. He was really trying to be his usual excitable, full-of-unnecessary-witicisms self, but it was harder when he had to look at her and remember what she'd been through. He remembered belatedly that tonight was the full moon, and winced inwardly. Still, she wouldn't have agreed to come with him if she wasn't up to it, right?
