Break the rules. Was it really only a matter of that? Or had Dumbledore been right? Did the blood save Harry? Could there have been another way, especially with Voldemort rotting away himself for those years leading up to Harry's first at Hogwarts? They would never know. The past could not be undone. Remus slowly moved closer to Harry although he was scared to touch him. "You are right to be angry," Remus said softly. "But if there is anything I can hopefully still teach you is that anger can hurt you more than the people you are angry with." Harry's pain hurt Remus not only because he played a role in it, but because there was nothing he could do to make it better. "I'm sorry. I know it doesn't change anything, but I am. Nothing you've said is anything I haven't asked myself a thousand times over." His voice cracked, but he cleared his throat quickly. This wasn't about him or his feelings. He could sort those later. "If moving on means being here with your family, no one could blame you for it. But...you are important to me. Always have been, always will be." He waved a hand. "Even across dimensions apparently."
