It was simply easier for James to get into a fight than it was for him to deal with all of the things going on in his life. Honestly, it didn’t hurt that he had been chomping at the bits to get at one of the Death Eaters walking around the town. It didn’t matter which one, but the fact that he was going to kick Rodolphus Lestanges’ ass was even better than he’d set out for.
Of course, he stopped by his house long enough to make sure the wards on his house were strong, just in case someone got the idea to mess with Lily and Hope when he was gone (He couldn’t help but be a little over paranoid in situations like these). Still, James smirked a bit when he saw Rodolphus, his wand tight in his hand. James pulled his then, pointing it square at the man.
“You’re the one who play’s dirty.” James sneered, “Wand up Lestrange.” He waited just a moment, waiting for Rodolphus to get his wand up before slinging a stinging spell at him.
