Megan couldn’t exactly say that the last couple of days had been great for her. Pain still lingered in her limbs if she moved wrong, but she was mostly better and the healer (who was apparently a friend of her mothers) had given her the okay to go, and a few potions to monitor the pain if she absolutely needed it. Add all of that on top of the fact that she’d somehow found herself in a time traveling village where most of her friends were older than her, and her mother was stuck two years in the past. Well, it was just a lot. But Megan thought she was taking it well enough, after all, it was better than being where she was, right?
“Mum, I’ll be fine.” Megan grinned back at her mother, as she put away the books and other supplies her mother had bought her for school. “I mean, It’s just like being at school, right? Only instead of sharing with Hannah and Susan, I get my own lovely little room.” Megan surveyed the room again. It was quaint and in need of decoration, but Megan was pretty sure she could make it happen.
